10 yrs as Club Instructor

Ten years ago Sensei Tom took over as club chief instructor and the club has got even stronger and more respected in that time. It was felt that this anniversary should not go by without a symbol of recognition, and so at the medal presentation following our club competition, Sensei Tom was presented with a statuette of a samurai warrior. The warrior has his katana (sword) raised above his head ready to strike. The sword has become historically associated with the samurai and renowned for it's sharpness and strength. So perhaps samurai best describes Sensei Toms attitude to our martial art. It's fortunate for us that he doesn't train with a katana or a bokken - the practice sword, as we don't dress for it - and his persuasive voice is all that's needed. Behind every great man there is usually a great woman and his is his lovely Lynn. Who deserves a black belt for her administrative skills alone, and she was presented with a bouquet of flowers in our appreciation. 10yr Samurai 10yr Samurai
